Diverse Uses for Teflon™ FEP Industrial Coating Systems
Teflon™ fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP) industrial coatings melt and flow during baking to provide nonporous films. With a maximum operating temperature of 200 °C (400 °F), these industrial coatings have excellent nonstick properties and a low coefficient of friction. In addition to providing excellent chemical resistance, they also have high dielectric strength.
These multi-coat systems—commonly used in applications such as mold release that require nonstick properties—are available in water-based liquid and powder form.
For some surfaces, it's recommended to use a primer before applying Teflon™ FEP coatings. Find a recommended primer here.
