Protect Fabrics with High-Performing Repellent and Soil-Release Textile Finishes
Chemours offers a variety of textile finishes for technical and consumer fabrics based on different technologies and raw materials.
Capstone™ Products for Textile Finishes
Chemours manufactures Capstone™ repellent and stain release products, which are the key ingredients in PHOBOL® CP fabric finishes sold by Archroma. Fabrics treated with PHOBOL® CP that meet set performance levels can be branded Teflon™ fabric protector.
This portfolio of products offers superior oil and water repellency, high durability, and—in some products—stain-release performance. Capstone™ repellents and stain releases also exceed expectations regarding the environmental sustainability of the short-chain chemistry that protects these fabrics.
Features and Benefits of Capstone™ Repellents and Stain Releases
Capstone™ repellents offer an enhanced, high-performance, short-chain product that provides outstanding soil- and stain-repellency for many fabric types. Capstone™ stain release finishes help release ground-in stains during laundering, keeping fabrics looking new longer.
Zelan™ R3 Finish: Non-Fluorinated, Biobased Repellent
Zelan™ R3 finish provides a durable, water-repellent treatment for fabrics that guards against rain- and water-based stains. The finish also offers high-durability for home laundering by providing extended water and water-based stain repellency for up to 30 washes.
Fabrics treated with Zelan™ R3 that meet required performance specifications can be branded Teflon EcoElite™ renewably sourced finish.
Archroma sells and provides technical support for Zelan™ R3 finish for textiles.
A Commitment to Environmental Sustainability
Zelan™ R3 is made with 60% renewably sourced, plant-based raw materials that are non-genetically modified organisms (GMO) and non-food source feedstock. Zelan™ R3 is recognized as a USDA-certified biobased product.
Chemours is a bluesign® system partner and Zelan™ R3 is bluesign® approved.
It is also an approved input finishing chemical for application in the processing of Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified textile products, assessed by IMOswiss AG, a GOTS-approved certifier.
